We had four days notice from when they booked our flights to when we were in Florida. When we agreed to this whole arrangement, we were told the Alberta Government would be covering it. Flights for us, accomodation, set us up with a car and food. Well turns out the doctor had some "misinformation" and the government was actually going to cover my flight and the treatment. I know that isn't nothing but that is a big thing to have misinformation about, and it felt like they said that just to get me to agree to it, only to surprise us with four days notice. We had that short time to scramble to find a place to live, budget the two months we would be away and try to figure out Uber. The cost of renting a car in the US for two adults who aren't twenty-five, would've been more than the cost of our rent for two months. For that price, we'll walk.
