This last Sunday, I celebrated my Twenty-Second birthday. For my whole life I have always loved my birthday. I go all out, talk about it for weeks in advance and plan out a day full of birthday activities. This year I was a bit sad that I wouldn't be around my family for my birthday. So I was really excited that Luke and Holly were going to be coming to visit Brody and I for my birthday weekend.
We picked them up from the airport on Friday night and took them out for pizza to kickstart the weekend. Then we brought them back to our house to meet Loki and rest up for the next day.

The next morning we took them to Okotoks to try Covet Sips and Sweets. It's this cute soda and cookie shop about a half hour away from us. I forced them to take endless pictures with me because "It's my birthdayyyy!!" It got old for everyone by the end of the trip but we still managed to get some cute pictures:)
We went to Cross Iron Mills in Calgary and shopped for many, many hours. We took them to Bass Pro Shop in the mall which is always a highlight. I don't know why I get so excited to show people Bass Pro, but it is my favourite part every time.

That night we went for my birthday dinner at the Cheesecake Cafe. Despite our mean waiter, me dumping my water all over Luke's lap with no help or attention from any of the staff and all around mediocre service, this is my new favourite restaurant. It was so cute, the food was delicious and we had so many good laughs. Oh, and more photos!

Featuring my new sweater I bought at Cross Iron!
The next day was my actual birthday. We went to church and then my in-laws threw a birthday lunch for me. Right before we dropped the kids off at the airport, we threw in a last minute trip to IKEA. We got our blue salad plates to match our blue dinner plates and took more photos.
Then we dropped them off at the airport and they were on their way. It's always sad to say goodbye to my family, but luckily Christmas isn't too far away!
I finished my birthday off with a couple episodes of Lost and a cup of cocoa. Also I somehow don't have a single photo but Brody got me a guitar for my birthday! This is something I have been wanting basically since I got here so I am so glad I have such a sweet husband that made all my birthday wishes come true. All in all, it was a great birthday this year and I love everyone who made it feel so special. Let's take on this Twenty Second year!
